Case ``with an officer\'\' -- how long?

Hi Gurus,

I have a silly question: how long does it normally take for INS to make a decision on the case once it is ``with an officer\'\' or ``under review\'\'?

My story is that I spoke with IIO almost 2 months ago when she told me that my case is ``with an officer\'\' and that it should take ``approximately 30 days\'\' to make a decision... Is it common for INS to turn 1 month into 2 or 3? Has anyone had similar experiences?

mine is also pending with an officer for the past 2 months. And the AVM doesn\'t want to work. So I guess we will never know how long we will be in the dark

Mine is with officer for last 3 months, on 6th. of this month he had issued a RFE, but it is still in VSC mail room. It seems they have a large backlog in print/mail room.
