My case info is:

WAC-01-286-**
RD 8/15/01
ND 9/14/01
FP received on 3/14/02 according to AVM

Talked to an officer and was told that my case
has NOT been assigned to an officer yet.

She says since currently they are processing 7/1/01 cases,
It will be at least 2 1/2 months before my case assigned.

Is this just "standard reply"? Or I really have to wait at least
3-4 months more before approval come.

Thanks.

RD August 21 & ND 24 - Wac-01-290-5xxx

Jan 12th Processing Resumed................:)

Same boat here.....

additional info

Called again to check my wife's case.
(Dates are the same as me)

Another IIO told me that they are waiting
for "investigation report" to be finished, (another 3-4 months).

Does it work like this? After receiving "investigation report",
then they assign the case to an officer?

Thanks.

what's "investigation report"?

I did not think it is "fingerprints result".
Since "fingerprints" were sent back to INS from FBI
in March.

Could anyone explain the process? Thanks.

I am confused by status information provided by IIO.

IIO goes by the JIT report

Normally when you check the status with the IIO, they always go by the latest JIT report, in which it says that the CSC is processing cases filed on 07/01/01.
i think that the case has not been assigned yet. because if the case is assigned then IIO tells the status of the case and if there is no specific update in your case, they go by the JIT report

good luck....

and about the finger prints....from my observation, finger prints are scheduled based on the ASC schedule. and the check has two parts, one that says thet the finger prints are cleared (which eventually gets updated in the AVM for some people) and another that does the other background check, and has never been reflected in the AVM. the fist one has to be completed for the second one to be done....

my 2 cents

Thanks!

Really appreciate your comments.

Looks like it is still at least a few more months for my case.

It is amazing that you guys get thru and are able to talk to the IIO. I could only imagine the number of tries you make.

it seems not that hard to get through to IIO

at 2:00PM-2:30PM PST,
I got through twice and I dialed like 10 times each.

Each time I waited for like 5-10 minutes after got through.
