My I-485 RD is Jul 11th, 2006 and my case is current but so far I didn't see case updated even though today the

https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/Processtimes.jsp?SeviceCenter=Texas

says they are now processing cases received as of Jul 17th. Question is, if a case is approved, does it immediately reflect on the online status and also the email sent immediately or does it take time? Ofcourse, my case may have been stuck in name check too, but I have been just waiting for the RD date to become current before worrying too much. But now that the day has come ...

Are you EB1? Did you finish finger printing? Please give your case details.

TSC would open to work on the file sooner usually. I applied in September 2006 and finished finger printing and interviewed in memphis. Unfortunately stuck in the name check, so the dates they put on website is the maximum possible to open a case file. I beleive they would already been working on your file. If it is approved you will see an update on online message.

It's EB2. Yes, Finger printing (code 3) is done back in August. 140 is approved and got EAD and AP a few months back. I didn't have any interview either so far.

My lawyer said that we need to wait for a month before requesting for an update on the case.

Yep, officially USCIS says...one needs to wait for a month after the RD (on the processing time report) is passed - to officially initiate an inquiry with TSC....but you could always call them and enquire about your 485 status...and see if you cleared the dreaded namecheck? Call 3-4 times...someone friendly may be able to give you insight...

called up

May be it was my lucky day last Friday, I called TSC because it also crossed my receipt date. One of the lady first read me the same material what is available online. I told her that I can read it, but I am calling because processing date has crossed and my case has not yet got his decision.
She told me that my case is in EB3 substitute labor,on which they have limited number of people to work, so it's taking time and if I would not hear in a month, call us, we will investigate.
Then I asked her what about namecheck etc, she did not specify directly anything, she said that offcourse that must have already cleared.
So I am hoping that name check and fbi check are already cleared and they are waiting for visa or time to work on my case.

I 485 RD 28th June
EB3 April 2001
EAD approved in Oct 2006
AP approved in Oct 2006
RFE in Oct 2006
case status -
Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed.

On October 23, 2006, we received your response to our request for evidence. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. You should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done.

And it is now more than 60 days, I am waiting.
