Case transferred to NY Local office

My RD for I-485 at VSC is 07/16/2001. After RFE in April 2002, my case was transferred for interview to NY Local office on 05/06/2002. Still waiting for interview call.

Does any one know how much time it takes at NY office to get interview call?

Was yours a national interest waiver case? What was RFE about?

I have observed that typically it takes 8 months for NYC - probably registration process consumed some time and I guess you should get it soon. Not a bad idea to inquire though or to inquire through your congressman.

My case was transfered to NYC on 5/16/2002 no interview date.

I had started a thread with NYC transfer cases. Try to search for the same of my name and you can read interview experience and status of many NYC transfer cases.

I hope this helps.
 
Probably guys ...

... (even you Kamal ) you should get moving. These are few things that I would do

- Contact Senator(s).
- GO in person to the local office probably once a month(don't know if that is feasible)
- Write to INS local office.
- Write to INS Vermont.

I would think that each (except visit in person ) would cause a case to be opened on someone's table. And who likes work piling on their table.
