I would like start this thread for those whose case has been transferred to Boston in the last five or six months since this will help a lot.

My case (NIW, RD:03/12/2001) has been transferred to Boston Office in May, 2003 and I am waitin for the notice for the interview date. I am expecting it take at least five or six months if the old statistics is real.

Will post the details for the notice.

12/03/2001 instead

The RD should be Dec. 3, 2001. Sorry about it. My case is with
EAC 02063*****.

additional link to other valuable info

Hi there, in order to make this thread more attactive I put the following link to another thread regarding those cases that have been transferred to Boston Office. We can see that there is some variation with regard to the waiting period between the date of transferring and the interview. It is somewhere between three to 7 months. Also Boston55, BostonFish, BostonREF, GCQ and toughdba are on the same boat. Let's keep both threads floating!

God bless us!

Boston Office speeds up the process

Check the new postering by BostonFish please. His interview date is only two months away from his transfer date. It is encouraging!

two more transferred cases with interview details

Hi there, I saw two more cases (GCQ and chinniusa) which indicate that INS Boston Office may currently process the
transferred cases in the four month time frame. It is not too bad.

Just post it to keep this thread floating.

GreenBoston

GreenBoston,

This is really crazy. We say Boston transfer cases getting their interview scheduled faster very recently. But now it looks like they are back to the 6 month rule. You are one of the unfortunate one like me. I am going for my second FP tommorrow. Interview is on 5th of next month. One more month to go to find out the result of this long journey. I will add your name to the spread sheet I am maintaining if its not already there.

Good luck.

Toughdba.

GreenBoston. Correct the year in your dates

The dates looks messed up. Please correct the year part in your dates and specify which center (VSC etc.,). In this age of information, I see lot of people who post incomplete data on this forum. Always be precise/complete/correct with the information you post on this forum :)

Good luck,

Toughdba.

Good Luck Tough DBA

For your FP and Interview. Please do not forget to share your experience after the Interview.

Yeah, I cannot think of any particular reason they have transferred my case, may be they did not like my name!!! or just tough luck!!

One good thing is i have a new focus point. Seven months and counting....

Anyways Cheers!!

Second FP completed today.

Hi,

Myself and my Wife went for our 2nd FP this morning. Reached INS office at 170 portland st at 8:20 am. Showed the letter/passport/EAD to the receptionist and she verified the passport and took our EAD, pinned it to the FP letter and said she will have to give it to her supervisor. Had to wait in the hall which was 75% full at that time. Had to fill up a form with our details in the mean time.

At around 9:45 our name was called and the officer handed over our EAD/FP letter and gave a token. Waited for another 45 minutes and went in when our numbers got displayed on the counter. The FP took only 10 minutes to take and our prints came out fine in the first attempt itself. Officer asked us to verify our name/dob etc., info on the computer screen and we did. I had to write down my phone number and the address on the FP letter. My wife did not have to. The officer handed over our EAD cards and the form which we had filled and said "All set. you can go now". Was out of the building by around 10:55.

Got to go for the Interview on Aug 5th.

FOR FP:

1. Go as early as possible so that you can beat the crowd.
2. Parked at an open garage next to a gas station close to the INS center. Cost me $18 . I did not bother to check for any alternatives.
3. Take PP and EAD along with your FP letter
4. Note down your SSN and A# if you cant remember it cos its needed when you fill up the form
5. Keep your hands clean :)

Regards,

Toughdba.
