hi gurus,

Can't believe I wasn't aware of this site until few weeks ago. I am in a very interesting, and should I say puzzling situation. I-485 got transferred from TSC to Lee Summit, MO...apparently it is a NBC (National Benefit Center?). Has this happened to anyone? Any advice? Feel like in a blackhole with no end in sight

Usually the cases getting transfered to local offices go through NBC as it review the case and send it to appropriate office. Sometimes few cases gets transfered to local office directly from TSC. I beleive you will get notification soon about transfer to local office. If then, they may call you for an interview before approval. You can find the phone number for NBC at uscis.gov and call them about status of your case.

good luck

Thanks Nathanss. I hope that is the case. Few more facts about my case:
a) My case is filed at TSC
b) I live in Texas and I have never moved
c) There is a NBC in Dallas
So why in the world would TSC transfer my case to NBC in Lee Summit, MO when there is a NBC few miles down the street in Dallas? But why ask why with TSC..

I am in the same situation.

My case was filed at CSC. Moved to NSC and then to this same address you mentioned. I have got a letter saying "to speed up processing.. we sent your case to the same address as you mentioned.." Refer to signature of my case.

I had a DUI in aug 01. Not a CIMT though.. expecting an interview..
Anyone knows how much time they take to transfer the case to local offices..

Unfortunately my 3rd EAD/AP Applications are at NSC. God knows what will happen to them and our EADs are expiring on 06/09/07. Fortunately I am on H1-b but wife had been denied a new job because of a possibility that we wont have EAD in 15 days time..

MadeOneMistake - sorry to hear about your situation and hopefully there will be progress on your case soon. I don't have any challenges like yours in my case, so somewhat puzzled by this runaround.

Any other folks who filed their application had their cases transferred to this so called National Benefit Center in Lee Summit, MO?
