I just heard on AVM stating both cases(me and my wife) has been transferred to Los Angeles INS office for interview. Does anyone knows approximate waiting time for an interview after file transfer to the Los Angeles office?

RD-07/16/01
ND-08/22/01
fp-11/23/01 done as scheduled.
AVM updated-12/13/01 process resumed.

What was the RFE about?

Sorry to hear about the transfer of your case. It could mean further delay in your case. You now have to wait for several months to receive an interview date. Could you please share what the RFE was about?

b_bad,

What\'s so specific about your case for it to be transfer for interview after an RFE? how old is your marriage? anything you could thing of?

RFE details..

(1) new employment letter
(2) last 3 pay stubs,
(3) W-2\'s from the last 3 tax years (2001, 2000, 1999) and
(4) employer\'s 2001 tax return with DE6\'s from the last 2 quarters.

B_Bad :RFE Question.

Did you send them the paystubs and Employment letter while filing 485?
Search San Jose Interview Club Postings. You can get details there.
Good Luck

if you filed under 245i...interview is likely..

were you ever out of status / if so how did the INS find out.

I have read that a larger % of cases get called for 245i interview.

Hope all goes well and you get your passport stamped with the 551 stamp !

b_bad, Sorry to hear your interview. GOOD LUCK.

I read some posting about interview and his/her approval last
week, but I didn\'t find it though I searched it on this board.
The reason is that he/she has criminal record for $2 fine...,
just small case, but INS just makes sure why it happens.
Except employment document, some record maybe causes interview,
I think. Anyway, bring all document and show what INS office
asks. GOOK LUCK for interview. GOD BLESS YOU.

Transfer from NSC to CSC

One of my colleagues changed job before 180 days and came from Chicago to California working with me about a year back. He had some RFE sometime back and now his AVM says "Case has been transferred to Local INS" in CA. (Sorry, I don\'t have his Case Number, only thing I know is that RD is in Jan 2001.) Transfering the case mean that it is possible to have an interview? If so, how soon the interview can be expected? Please give details if anybody in similar situation?

No Title

If any case transferred from NSC to CSC then it is OK but if AVM says that case has been transferred to local INS in SJC/SFO/LA for scheduling an interview then it is sad. One more thing if it has been transferred for interview then AVM will clearly say for interview.
I have seen interview call may take 1-9 months depending on center.
SJC=1-3months
SFO=5-9months
LA=3-6months

Good luck

vipcsc, Thanks...

for the valuable information. This case is transferred to San Diego Local INS. Lookslike, his AVM does not say the interview message. Then it may be okay.
