case transfer to NYC how long it take for interview date

Does that mean that you got approved and they transferred the case?
i don't know what that mean:
On October 27, 2004, we transferred your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status to our office in NEW YORK, NY for them to schedule and conduct your interview. Scheduling can take several months. Our office in NEW YORK, NY will notify you when they schedule your interview or take other action on your case. If you need further information, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.

What is different about your case bcos of which it got transferred to NY? Did you file for AC21 or did you get any RFE?
Cases get transferred all the time, usually because they want to check something a bit more carefully, e.g. employment situation, AC-21 etc. Lately the VSC has been transferring lots of cases, up to 50% for some months.
Unfortunately, once a case is transferred, it's "off the books" as far as the regional service center is concerned and depending on where the local center is located, you could be in for a long wait (6-12 months). It's also hard to get information on processing times for many (most) of the local centers...
