We filed I-485 at TSC in August 2002. We received notice in April 2004 that our case is transferred to local office Lincoln, Nebraska for the speed processing……. Our finger prints were done in Dallas, (mine FP was done in March 2004 and wife’s was done in July 2004).
In September the online message says “On September 1, 2004, your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status was received here for processing. It is taking between 570 and 600 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete.”
I called to 800 number to know where our files are TSC or NSC, after a month we received notice that our file is transferred to NSC, P.O.Box 82521, Lincoln, NE, office. Please contact to this office regarding your application.
I did not find Lincoln, Nebraska office in the list of District Office, Is it local office or service center? If it is service center, why they transfer our file to service center instead of local office?
Did anyone receive this kind a message when their file was transferred to local office?
Please advise.
