Hello.

My case details are - EB3, India, PD Oct 1998, RD/ND Sep 1999, EAD renewed twice, FP done once (expires soon) and still waiting (read:hoping) for approval.

Case transferred to "ABC" office, even though I reside in a different state that does not come under "ABC"\'s jurisdiction. Apparently for no specific reasons.

Upon inquiry, my lawyer says that the case is with XYZ office, and not with ABC office. But it so happens that even XYZ office does not have jurisdiction over my state of residence.

It gets better.

I called INS NCSC 5 times, and each time got a different reply on whether or not it is possible for one local INS office to approve cases of another state.

Has anybody had similar experiences (read:frustration), or knows what happens next, or can suggest what should I do to get an approval ?

Thanks.

I have done that

Thanks buddy.. I have already done that, and they are also quite confused with my case. The lawyer advices me to go to the local office which has my case. But then it is 400 miles away from my home. Do you think it will help me if I go there and try to dig some information ?

Thanks.

Why don\'t you hire a good immigration lawyer? You wouldn\'t have to chase INS

regarding your case. Your lawyer is supposed to do that.
