Case status - please explain

Hi,

I filed my 485 in May 2002 . Today I checked my status online and got the following: What does this mean? I got my EAD and AP long tim eback and also we gave FP last july.

"On April 7, 2003, your I485 Application to Register
Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status was received
here for processing. It is taking between 450 and
480 days for us to process this kind of case. We
will mail you a decision as soon as processing is
complete."

I've seen other people who saw this message on the web - their cases were transferred to their respective local offices, and this message might mean the same for you!

Its good you're seeing some movement on your case! Are you in MD? I'm surprised a May 2002 case was touched!

it has happened in Philly too

May case was touched about a month back and transferred to philly.
My friends case (March 2002) was transferred in Aug 2002.
