Gurus,
For the last several months, my wife's on-line case status was
shown as "on apr. 25 2002 we sent you a fingerprint notice".
From today I see the following status

"The status for this Receipt Number cannot be found at this time in this automated system. Please check your case receipt number to see if it is correct. If you have questions or concerns about your case status, please contact the National Customer Service Center"

Do you know what could be going on ?

Thank you

hey starbucks

how about your status? is it ok online?

Mine is same - wife online says exactly like yours. This morning it was fine. They have done something today.

Online case status

Any one else got the same message???

"The status for this Receipt Number cannot be found at this time in this automated system. Please check your case receipt number to see if it is correct. If you have questions or concerns about your case status, please contact the National Customer Service Center"

Looks like BCIS online database is totally screwed up. I'm getting the same message (receipt not found) for myself and my wife from this morning. It was fine until yesterday afternoon. They need better DBA! :D

Well, atleast AVM gives us correct status.

same this morning!

May be they are reviewing! and taking away from the pile and from the online record while going through the scrutiny..
Seems line only spouses cases have that problem, primary applicants are fine.

Any comments?

My I140 status couldn't be found on the site, so are my recent approved EAD status.

However, my I485 and recently approved AP status are still showing there.

I am the primary applicant.

Don't know what's going on there. kinda scary ...

Since yesterday I have been getting this 'status cannot be found....' messages for myself and for my wife. Until last week we were getting 'finger print notice' related messages. For my wife's AP we are gettting regular message that the case is still pending.

Case number can not be found at this time

Guys,

My case number is LIN-02-289-530XX
and my RD is SEP 09 2002, ND SEP 19, 2002.

I am the primary applicant, me and my wife applied for 485 same time and applied for EAD also( but at that time we have not applied for AP).

They have approved our EAD's in 30 days and sent us FP forms
then we both gave finger prints. This year in April we have applied for Advance Parole and mine is approved, my wife got RFE
They asked for my I 140 approval notice, my attorney sent response to the RFE.

All this time when ever I enter my lin number in their online case status site I am getting "Status for this Receipt Number cannot be found at this time in this automated system" message.
But for my wife it is coming like we have received ur application on so and so date etc...

Any body in the same situation like me?
Pork Chop any idea sir?

Same here, case status is not found. Something is screwed up. Please tell us if you have the same problem everyone and tell us when the problem is fixed. . Thanks

It is a simple programming bug at the logic layer of the BCIS Case Status Online system.
The database itself is OK because NCSC 800 number provides correct status.

Not only I485 and I765 but also any type of applications are affected with the following status.
1) approved
2) fingerprint notice sent
3) withdraw
4) undeliverable by post office
5) others (some minor categories)

For the deatail, check the following CSC thread:
http://www.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=97619

summary: bug of case status online since 9/11/2003

http://www.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=580119#post580119

When you tried to see your case status, you might get the following error message:
The status for this Receipt Number cannot be found at this time in this automated system. Please check your case receipt number to see if it is correct. If you have questions or concerns about your case status, please contact the National Customer Service Center.
National Customer Service Center (800) 375-5283
Your case might have been approved.
You can confirm your case status to call NCSC 1-800-375-5283 and to push many "1"s.

Here is the detail.
The simple programming bug was incorporated into the logic layer of the BCIS Case Status Online around 10:15am on 9/11/2003 PST.
It is not fixed yet as of 7:00pm 9/14/2003 PST.

Caused by this bug, for not only I485 but also any type of applications, the case with the following status can not be found.
1) approved
2) fingerprint notice sent
3) withdrawal
4) underliverable by post office
5) other minor status groups

However, the database itself is OK, so you can get your correct status from NCSC 1-800-375-5283 free dial.

This bug also affects most of scanning projects such as Project Kashmir.
http://www.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=580056#post579994
I recommend to remove the above cases from your scan list until the bug will be fixed.

I hope the BCIS will fix the bug as soon as possible.
