Case status not found -anything changed?

Since 10:15am PST (1:15pm EST) on 9/11/2003,
the BCIS Case Status Online returns the following message for many cases not only I485 but also another types.
The status for this Receipt Number cannot be found at this time in this automated system. Please check your case receipt number to see if it is correct. If you have questions or concerns about your case status, please contact the National Customer Service Center.

The database seems to be broken and not be fixed yet.

Guys

That is not the case. I have checked with my EAd card which is approved and with my 485 status which is pending.
In the EAD card it says the message "as per ram avataar"
But in my 485 it says regular message.
So it means that they have deleted/or taken out from their system all the records(which displays on the net) .

So looks like they care for performance in these case but not on improving the speed for 485 approval:mad:

I checked ours also, on the status of ours after passport stamping and got the same message: receipt not found and after few more attempts, it now says: this has been blocked as it exceed the maximum amount of login or to that effect.

noginoypi,

BCIS has installed a new system. If you check your case too many times in a day (threat to there computer system coz you can overload it with queries) then they get suspicious and you see that message.

Pls do it only once per week.

ibm

while i have full faith in your conclusion but dont you think you are being over excited. :D :D

Updating records could mean there system is totally screwed and they are fixing it.

Updating could also mean that some things got deleted--oops-- by accident and they are putting them back.

Updating could also mean that they want to show us they are working but they are not...kinda fooling with you...

it could mean anything on this earth...

btw ibm stock fell today...:(

reach_honey.

I have exactly opposite situation as urs, my EAD was approved says the right message and the i485 says the messages "Case not Found".

so what am I supposed to think.......

I wouldn't read too much into this message, as Kashmir says it is probably just that the database has broken and hasn't been fixed. Don't sweat it, just check the AVM.

Though, it might be only a database glitch, I would call and draw attention of IIO to this fact. It won't hurt.

Its approved if not in system
