Case Status disappearing from INS's website?

Yo russian,
congrats...it is bad that ur iv location is inconvinient for you,mark my words plz...dont make a fuss....once they try to alter ur status u r basically stuck especially in a busy d.o like ny...so my suggestion is just get through this one...
best ex is foreverafter and other guys from ny....
second for all the ppl who said usics case status website doesnt work...99% of the time the case status has been doing a good job..its unfortunate as to why its not working for u guys...

Where does the interview letter come from ? Service Center or DO ?
 
Yes, don't screw around -- show up to your scheduled interview on time somehow.

The Dallas office lost track of my file for a short while (days or small number of weeks) so they descheduled my interview -- everything was in order at the time.

That was in April. I haven't heard back from them yet. The USCIS actually seems pretty efficient as long as everything stays on track. As soon as your file falls out of the normal processing stream your processing can be extended by months (or, it seem from this forum) sometimes by years.
