Case number for N-400 applications?

I filed our N-400s earlier this month and got the receipt notice with PD of May 20th. For H1s and GCs - I was used to seeing case number like EAC-something. However, there is no such number on this notice. There is a application number starting with NBC - is that what I can use to track my case status online?

Yes, the NBC number (National Benefits Center) is the number to use for tracking. Make sure you do not skip the asterisk right after the NBC on the form if your number has it.
