Hello,

Today I got this message:

"Current Status: This case has been sent to another office for processing because it has jurisdiction over the case.

On November 10, 2009, we transferred this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN to our LINCOLN, NE location for processing because they now have jurisdiction over the case. We sent you a notice of this transfer. "

The office above is 66.7 months old in comparision with Vermont. Will this change be good for me or not? I submitted the I-130 in October 30, 2006. Now it seems that it will take longer than before.:(

I live in PA.
Thanks,

Such transfers occur from time to time for a variety of reasons. Whom have you sponsored and are you a GC holder?

Thanks. I am the petitioner. It is a I-130 for my wife, 3 years ago. Vermont has a processing date of January 2006, and Nebraska has a processing date of November 2004 !!. Does it mean that my case will take longer than before? there is no point, I guess. Now I am 2 years behind, and also, I do not know if my case will have a new processing date. I am really confused and sad. I am a GC holder for 4 years now.
Thank you.

The 14 month variance really makes no difference for the spouse of a GC holder. All that maters is when is the petition current. It really makes no dffierence if the I-130 is approved 2 years or 2 months before the priority date is current.
