Case Approved : Company Name Changed & Proactive 140 Redo

Hello Guys,

I finally heard the magical message "Your Case Has been APPROVED,...."
and these are my details:

- Category EB3
- Country Others
- I-485 RD 09/15/1999
- I-485 ND 09/30/1999
- My company changed their name after filing my I-485
- 10/27/2000 I received an RFE for Employment letter.
- According to AVM, INS received my response to the RFE on 11/16/2000
- Case was on Hold because of the company name change
- I filed a proactive I-140 Redo ND:04/13/2001
- My Lawyer called INS with the I-140 Redo receipt # and asked them to
  link it with my pending I-485
- I-485 Approval Date on 05/03/2001 according to AVM.
- Still waiting for the approval notice.

I would like to thank everybody in this forum and I wish you all good luck
with your cases.

I will check this site for the next few days to answer any questions that you guys may have.

Congratulation, you will get your approval letter. Could you please tell me what was your PD, FP etc.

my PD is 7/97
FP 3/01
ND 01/00.
I think I have to wait for 1 month or so please tell me your view.

first of all thank you. I don\'t know MY PD and it is not important for
me because my country is Others.

My FP was done on August-03-2000

As per AVM, the amended I-140 is not approved. My Lawyer told me that she cold INS to link my I-140 redo to the pending I-485 and asked them not to wait for the I-140 redo approval. The receipt # is enough.

Could you pls. when the lawyer called the INS to put your I140 amendendment with your I1485 b\'se I am also the same place.

When I received the reciept for the I-140 redo, she called INS and gave them the receipt number then she asked them to expedite the process and to unfreeze ( lift the HOLD ) my application.

Thanks. Do you remember the date? My Amended I140 ND is 4/12 and I called INS on 5/2. Just doing a guss work....

My Amended I140 ND is 4/13/2001
My Lawyer called them on 4/17/01 and explained the whole thing.
She called again on 4/30/2001, Some IIO told her that she will talk
to her supervisor about the case. She told my lawyer to wait for 2 weeks.

I got my case approved after 3 days.

same as the number in i485 receipt and give your A# and they will be able to trace your I140 even if your I140 receipt not there
