Carrying GC in wallet?

Happy new year to all!

How many of you carry GC in wallet at all times? Is it ok to carry a copy in wallet and leave GC in a safe place like home or safe deposit box?

Oh no, yet another flame war issue...

It is required by law to have your GC with you at all times.
Making copies, in particular color copies, can get you into a lot of trouble, like accusations of trying to create fake GCs.
If you make a copy, clearly mark it as such.

Anyone who is not a US citizen needs to carry proof of legal stay (like I-94 or GC) all the time.
