Hi
We have received our cards


my husbands card says valid from March 2001 (he is the Primary)
mine says valid from Jan 2004

EB2/NIW
I140:ND : 3/2001
AP 9/2001
I485 : ND 11/2002
AP 2/2004
PP: 3/2004
CR:3/2004

Does that mean he can become a citizen just in another couple of yrs??
Or is it a mistake

Hope it is true that GC starts form I-140 approval date or at least I-485 filing date.
 
No, the GC is valid from the day of I-485 approval. I have read that the CIS has made mistakes with this date in some other cases as well and an Attorney had responded saying that the I-495 approval date is what is to be used as determination for the Citizenship process.

Is ur husband a doctor and if yes did he got through EB2/NIW if yes can u please post ur email address would like to discuss some important issues

TXI485, would you please let me know how you fixed the problem, since my husband's card also started from the priority date which is Nov, 1999, have you gone to the local CIS to file I-90? Is the original card going to be taken away after you file I-90? Or you can call the customer service 800 number to get a simple solution?
