Card Ordered before biometrics?

Hi,

I have a issue with biometrics. Here are the details.

My I-485 Approved on 04/20/2005
PP stamping: 05/02/2005 ( I have applied for card on the same day with photo (not digital) and got finger printed).

Received Biometrics notice on 06/21/2005 scheduled for 07/26/2005.

Received Card ordered email 07/21/2005.

Do I need to go for biometrics again or not?. In the biometrics notice, it mentioned "ignore if your case is already approved"

I too got the Biometric notice after I had already got passport stamped and did the signature, brought own photos, index print. We both would have filled out the I-89 card. You and me both were caught between the new and the old system. They now will not stamp your passport unless there's an immediate need to travel. They won't do the signature, index print, photos until they get the Biometric notice now. You get the Biometric letter about 5 weeks after approval date. Your card and mine is now ordered. The whole point of the I-89 before was to make the Green Card. Soon you will have it in hand. No need to do the Biometrics now. I asked my lawyer if I should do it and he had a few cases that were caught in between. He said there was no need in this scenario. Obviously he was right. My card was mailed today.

Hi grunggy,

Thanks for the info and I will wait for the mailing info this week. If nothing changes in the status, I still have two more months time to do biometrics ( worst case scenario). BTW, did you get emails for "cards mailed" like card ordered.

I got email saying card ordered this morning. I didn't go for Biometrics as it scheduled.
