card lost on mailing

My I-485 was approved on June 1st. But I have not recieved the card. When I called the NSC center, the first time they told me that the card has been sent to my home address on June 1st, then I was told the card was sent to the attorney. But neither the attoney nor I have seen the card yet till today.
The attorney suggest to file a I-90 form.
Is this very unusually? Anyone has the similiar experience?

My wife's green card was mailed on 6/17/06 but we never received it. Called USCIS and they suggested to file I-90.
