Card after I-485 approved

I realize that there are already existing threads for this subject but as the situations of those people are different that mine so I started a new one.
My application was through TSC, it never went to local office. I got the approval notice in 01/12/07. I had to do fingerprinting once. So it was straight forward.
The online message still says that the approval notice sent. It never changed to card mailed.

How long does it usually take to get the card? Why do some people have to wait for 3 months?

Maybe depend on your fingerprint date. My husband received his approval notice sent email on 01/11/2007 and the online message is still the same, not changed to Card production or Card Ordered. We are planning to call. Will update you about the status. Please do the same.

Just now we received the email updates of card mailed. Let us know your status ( I think you got the email too since I suspect TSC updates status once a day!)
 
Welcome Notices

We got the welcome notices today. Cards must be following. looks like there is no set pattern for the online status. Each case follows a different route.

Approval notices have also not received. Do they goto the attorney or us?

I believe the physical card matters the most to us. I received my card and a letter from USCIS the same day and I did not even check it was a welcome notice or approval notice. Maybe the welcome notice is the approval notice. My company lawyer never let me know if she received the approval notice or not and I do NOT care :cool:
Let us know when you get your cards.
 
Welcoming notice and the approval notice might be the same thing. But I am not sure. I received the approval email on 01/12, but have not received anything in the mail yet. My online status still says "approval notice sent" . My attorney said that I should receive the card in 30days. So I guess there is a 30 day wait period with this as well as all the other procedures.
Please keep posting updates.
 
Approval notice

Yesterday we received my husband's approval notice (Thanks to your guys, this time we paid attention to the type of notice). It seems that the approval notice is not the same as welcome notice. But it should not matter too much. We will also update once we receive his card.
 
Finally card mailed

Finally I got a a message last night saying that the card was mailed. I have not received the approval or the welcoming notice yet, but I was happy to see that they mailed the cards. My details are below. The dates are same for my spouse. I will post when I actually receive the card. Thanks a lot to all of you for sharing your info.

Card received

Finally I received the approval notice and the card in the mail today. Thanks to all in this forum who provide useful information. Good luck to all!
