Car insurance process in CA

Hi

Ok I am just getting a little confused about the process for registering my car, insurance etc.

So I will be arriving in California this week and my car is being shipped and will not arrive until a week after I have landed in the California.

Do I register my car when it arrives in California or when I arrive?

Registering is different than insuring correct?

Then I will get my driver's license and then insurance?

When the car gets here. They will compare your paperwork to the actual vehicle. You will also probably need to get a smog. Did you check the link I sent you?
