Cancelling I-129F petition and getting married on a Visitors Visa instead.

I have a question that I haven't gotten a straight answer from USCIS so I need an answer ASAP cuz we are planning to do it soon. I live in Cali and have filed a Fiancee Petition (I-129F) for my fiancee in Hong Kong and still waiting for approval (USCIS received the petition on May 18, 2006). Now the situation is that my fiancee don't want to wait anymore and she wants to be with me in Cali so she is planning to take a trip to Cali on a Visitors Visa... now once she is here, can we get married and file for a change of status? If it's possible, when should we get married and do I have to tell USCIS to cancel my I-129F or does it cancel automatically when I file for the change of status?Is this so called "illegal" and will it conflict with my already filed I-129F? Has anyone gone through this before? Please help because we have been apart too long and she wants to go to Cali and stay here within the next month... any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Hi hybrid90. I'm very curious to find out what you ended up doing. Did your fiancee come to Cali on a Visitor's visa? When she entered the US, did they know that she had a fiancee visa pending? What has happened to your fiancee visa application now?
