Cancelling appointment - Toronto (Question)

I have an appointment on 25-Sep-06 in Toronto;

Is there any process for cancelling appointment?
how many days before should one cancel the appointment?
what if u don't appear for visa revalidation without cancelling appointment? would it create any other issues?
