Canadian to Marry American - NEED HELP QUICK!

I am a Canadian citizen who has been dating an American. He and I are talking about getting married very soon. Eventually he wants to move to Canada, so in the meantime I am wanting to stay in Canada and work. Then visit him every few weeks or so. He is trying to get work in Seattle, so he will be "next door" to me. We are looking at possibly having a house in Washington for a couple years, and me commuting to and from Canada for work. (Until he and I move to Canada permenantly).

Are there any special documents either him or I will need in order to travel to and from the US and Canada. Or do we just carry on as usual, until of course he decides to become a permenant resident of Canada (in which case I know the proceedure for him to achieve Landed Immigrant status here).

Can anyone help with this? I have looked through the posts to try and see if there was something similar before posting - but quite honestly could not see anything.

In order for you to live in the us I do belive you will need a GC even if you plan on going back and forth to canada to work..Also you will be needing passports to get back and forth across the boarder I do belive by jan in order to enter the us and canada...Wish ya lots of luck maybe someone else here can fill you in better then me..

. That is what i was thinking you even do the double sponsor right now. Sponsor him to canada and then have him sponsor you to the United States. But for sure get the Green card because if you tell a border agent you are crossing to visit your Huband they might denial you entry. It has happent to 2 people i know personally. The Guy can always cross to Canada but the US border security is very harsh sometimes,
