Canadian PR Questions..important

Hello! I have few questions for the knowledgeable folks about the Canadian PR.
Some background: I filed my application with Canadian Consulate during September 2004. I received a confirmation from them and have also been assigned a case number. I have moved since filing my application and I have faxed them a change of address form, but never received any confirmation.
Questions:
1) Is this normal? Will receive any confirmation?
2) Is there any way to confirm that they have my updated address?
3) In the future is faxing the best way to update my address?

I recently got married. How do I do about adding her to my case? I do not want to file a separate case for her so that her process does not take a year long and instead goes in synch with mine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Normally they dont send any confirmation or anything.

Did you access your e-client status? The address shown in there is generally what they have in file.
Notify USPS of your address change and set address forwarding.

I believe that you can add your wife to your application too. I havent done this but I think you should send a fax and a letter to them about this.

Sapota1, thank you for the reply. I did use the e-client today and everything seem to be ok except for my zip. So, I guess I will have to re-fax them my change of address and also make clear to update my zip code.

Could you be a little more clear about adding my wife to the application. Or do you know anyone or website who could help me this?

Thank you again,

rdhing, regarding adding your wife to your application, you should look at the AOR letter and see what it mentions about changes in your family. I am not familiar with the exact procedure other than the fact that it is mentioned in the official letter.

Hope this helps
