Canadian Police Record Checks

I have just recieved notice from the RCMP that it is taking 150 days to secure a finger print check. I submitted early June. Has anyone who has submitted about that time had a return of the check to them?
I can't believe it would take that long!!!

Good morning,

I'm from Canada, and have also applied for a marriage based 485 (actually I have both a marriage based 485 application, and an employment based application pending).

Why did you need to go to the RCMP for? When I applied, I just got fingerprinted at the local BCIS office. I assume that they would communicate with the RCMP (or whoever) to get the required clearance.

It's Monday morning, so maybe I am just confused....

Finger Prints

I was told by our legal council, and in the P3 info kit that it could only be a finger print check...not a name check.
Otherwise I would be thrilled to not have to wait FOREVER!!!
