I've been in the US legally for about 6-7 years thru numerous TN Visa's for various different jobs. I currently have a TN Visa at the moment. The other week I finally decided to file for US Permanent Residency (thru sponsorship from wife). I submitted completed I-130, I-864, I-485, I-131, I-765 and I-693 forms with the required fees. My wife (US Citizen) and myself (Canadian) have been married for over 2 years.
Was wondering if anyone could help me out, I have a few of questions regarding my family based application.
First question is... after the application is sent to the Lockbox facility in Chicago, what happens next (after fees are processed)? We are based in Tulsa Oklahoma, so my assumption is the application would get forwarded to Oklahoma City for processing? Is this Correct?
Second question is ... On the Petition for Alien Relative form, I've indicated "Chicago" as the filing office for the adjustment of Status (question 22). Is this correct, or should I have indicated Oklahoma City? It appears the question has not been adapted to the new location.
Third question ... although my wife is sponsoring me, I am the one who's working, so in the Affidavit of Support, we've used my salary and 1040 tax forms as proof of income. Is this ok?
