Hi immigration gurus
I have following sitiation
I am currently working in USA, applied for US green card.
My I140 is approved, I-485 is pending.
I have Employment Authorization card and also Advance parole.
Also recently i got my landed immigrant visa for CANADA (my backup plan in case I485 is denied)
Now question is if I use PR to land in canada (first time and stay in canada for very short time say 1 day and then try to return to USA immidiately),
will american immigration office at port of entry will allow me to enter USA on advance parole
or will they object my entry on advance parole?
Does landing in Canada will considered by US immigration officer as the act of abondoning the US residence and will prevent me from entering USA on advance parole?
Attorneys/Immigration gurus please provide your suggestion/tips.
regards
