Does anyone in this forum knows how long it usually takes for immigration to canada on point basis?

12-18 months; sometimes even less.

Sure you an apply... you are free to do whatever... HOWEVER... if you move to Canada you will break your GC residency and you will probably lose your GC.Asylee13 said:Can a US PR apply for canadian immigration. What does the law says. I mean is it ok with INS.
BTW: going back and forth from Canada to the U.S every other month just to save your US GC wont work, you will still lose your continue residency...

Are you saying if i go to canada for a month after 4 years in US, my 5 year clock will start again?
If you go only for a month... your clock won't start all over again. But if you go for more than 6 months, it will.
See.. while you are a GC holder, all trips abroad MUST be temporary... otherwise CIS will think that you intend to abandon your GC.
