Hi All,
I will get my PR within a month or so. I work for a client in US on H1 visa which is due to expire in Feb 2006. Can I join a consulting company in Canada and work for a client in US? Do I need a US visa to travel or can I travel on my Canadian PR between US and Canada?
I saw that this question was asked but could not find an answer in this forum.
Thanks-

To work in the US, you would still need a valid US work visa. In fact, even to enter US after Canadian PR, you need a valid entry visa.

On the other hand, you can work in Canada for a US client (like telecommuting).

Once you get Canadian citizenship, you do not need entry visa to enter US, but still need a work visa to work. But Canadian citizens are open to NAFTA TN visas obtainable at US border & renewable every year.

Thanks sapota1,
I am in my 7th year H1. If I don't get the renewal for 8th year then I might think of moving to Canada.
If I plan to stay in Canada for 1 year and visit US few times on B visa then can I still get H1 visa for US after 1 year? This is because my client in US may agree for something like this and I am not sure if I can get as good a Job as I have in US.
Thanks once again.

Canada

If you work for canadian company in USA or anywhere in world. your count for citizien for canada will be valid. means you are eligible for citizenship after 3 years.
