I have a unique situation here.
6/1 I sent the forms for I-485 my attorney ( stated my last entry to US is 5/15)
6/2 I crossed the Canadian board with my Canadian PR card, but somehow the officer on the Canadian board decided to give me a immigrant entrance stamp on the passport.
6/2 afternoon, i came back to US, and the board officer on the US side didn't give me a new I-94, nor any stamp on the passport
I sent my full copy of my passport ( every page) to my attorney to finish the filing of I-485.
here's the problem:
now my I-485 form states my last entry to US is 5/15, but my passport copy contains a entry stamp to Canada at 6/2. I didn't know that I must repor that since my I-94 wasn't updated. I filed the AOS 6/15. Recently, when I read some related issue on the web, i decided to query my attorney. They then suggest that we keep a short statement in the file and then updating CIS when or if they request an RFE.
My question is:
is my attorney's suggestion the best way to go?
How big is the chance of my case get viewed as a cheating by USCIS?
any other approaches that I should take?
Your suggestions are very appreciated!
