Canadian Applyin for green card.

HI everyone so i have a weird sitiution .. so before i applied for a green card i over stayed in the states when i tried to go back the first time i got deined and got told to stay in canada for 6 months n try again so i did i waited 8 months and tried again when i tried they allowed me thro with a B2 visa for me and my daughter.. now a little back round info My husband is american and so is our daughter. im the only canadian.. neways so when i went back to tha states we started our paper works ... we applied for a green card but my lawyer said it would be better if i were to go bak to canada and apply so now me and my daughter are in canada waiting .... she said it would take any where to 3-9 months... however she also said it was 99.9 chance of me getting a green card but i mean for 5000 dollars who wouldnt say that... anyways.. what do you guys think? how long does it usually take and what do they ask from you..?
 
i went on sept.27 and went back on july.31 but after that they let me back in after i stayed in canada for 8 months they gave me B2 vvisa.
 
When was this? You might have been subject to the three year ban which may have passed.

I don't see why you'd have any problems with the green card process. You haven't overstayed long enough to trigger any statutory bans.

3-9 months is not a bad ballpark estimate, although a bit optimistic ... 6-12 months would be more realistic.
