The only time the Canadians ask for anything else beside the white card is if you arrived to Canada from a third country. I joined my friend in toronto and went to the Bahamas 2 weeks ago. When i came back they asked me for my passport and luckily i had my RTD. Overall, the Canadians are more civil and humane in their treatment of immigrants so do not worry
