Canada to US Land crossing - Covid test required?

Do we need to test for Covid and report ready when crossing from Canada to the US via land? I am aware this is required at the airport while going to the US by air but wondering if it is required when crossing the border from Canada to the US by land.

I got fully vaccinated in the US and have CDC paper before coming to Canada, not sure if it would help.

No, there is no COVID test requirement for land entry to the US, but it is still restricted to essential travel. If you are entering the US for work (seeing as you posted this in the TN forum), then you qualify.

Yes, I am on TN and will be entering with TN status.

Hi,

I am planning to enter US through Sweet grass or Portal border next week.

I have TN and I am planning to take TD for my wife and son on POE.

Any requirements for pre covid test for family or everyone is exempted?(including TN & Would be TD )

Thanks

US has no requirement for testing or vaccine for anyone. You are working in US and thus granted entry, with your family.

Thanks Nelsona.

I called Portal border and they also verified that they are processing TN,TD and there is no requirement of Pre entry covid test.
Thanks

Again, there are no circumstances where the CBP asks for a COVID test or proof of vaccine. Only the airlines, and, if land crossing, the CBSA (Canada) ask/demand these. And the CBSA will not require test/vaccine proof for those who simply go to US border for TN and immediately return.
