Anyone has first or second hand experience following through with Canadian Immigration while on H1b status?
1) If an alien worker is on a H1b status with Labor certification pending, does his/her H1b status (ie I-797 etc paperwork) need to be "reissued" if he lands/immigrates to Canada as a permanent resident and then (assuming its possible) attemps to stamp a H1b Visa from a canadian consulate in order to return back to work back in the US?
2) I am also assuming the labor cert process will not be affected - is that a wrong assumption?
3)Is the H1b visa status annulled upon landing in Canada as an immigrant/
permanent resident? The passport is held from the nation of birth throughout the ordeal. What are the risks involved with concurrently processing immigration both in the US and in Canada?
