can you work in USA right after the CP interview?

As I understood it, after the CP interview you get a temporary visa/green card in your passport until you get the real green card. My question is..can you already work with that in USA until you get the green card?

First you have to obtain a Social Security Number:
Find a Social Security office

Actually while you are waiting for your SSN you can work but employer cannot to pay a salary to you ;-)

I guess, NO - you have demonstrated immigration intend and non-immigrant visa application will be declined without any fee returns.
