Can you please help with this question on H1B 7th year extension.

A person is working company A and Company B has has started GC labour process, (for 2years now...under future employment)

If the person is in 5 th year of H1B, Should he be working for company B to get 7th year extension? or can he continue to work for A and get the benefit of 7th year extension because of B.

Even without H1B with company B?
Just to clarify...
You may note that B is doing GC under future employment .
I am not on payroll of company B.

Yes, it can be done without going on payroll of company B.

I doubt that company B will give you photocopy of pending LC filing. Without this document, company A will not be able to file your 7th year H-1B
