Trying to understand some basics, Say you obtained an EAD card from any EB category, 485 not approved yet, Can you be without job (and pay) and still maintain your status... This can happen to anyone using AC21, when for example the new employment is for a future date, and if you want to quit your current job before taking the new employment ...

Yes you can maintain it.

I485 is for FURTURE employment. Till you get your GC, by using EAD, you may work anywahere and even more than 1 job.
Just care for the following ;
1, At the time of Adjudication you must posses a letter of employment with a SAME job
OR
2, A letter for intended employment.

ok.. What if you have two offer letters from two different companies for future employment, and let USCIS decide on which one is approveable and take that offer, is it possible.... or does the law require that you should have accepted an offer...

I'm learning the rules, that's all

USCIS doesn't decide for you - you're a grown-up, you make your own choices.

ok.. silly question..I understand that USCIS won't make decisions for anyone.. so I guess the answer for the silly question would be, one should have an "accepted offer of future employment" for 485 approval

At least 1 of the job(s) should be permanent and as per your LC .... Chill
when choosing the words to define the employment.. there are these options
"regular", "full-time", "permanent", "at-will"...and each type of employment can have its own legal significance... i saw various sample letters on this forum using a combination of the above...

which of the above type of employment is acceptable for an AC21 case...this question can actually be a seperate thread..

in my case the employer wants an "at-will" employment.. but i'm not sure if its right

Regular : retard
Full time : May replace permanent, more a casual term.
Permanent : This is what I would use, Salary based comonly
At will : Type of employment contract specific towards termination by either sides.

Dont make things complicated, they are already. Whatever kind/type of employment is there on your Labour .. should be with you at the time of adjudication of your GC. Or atleast a letter of intent of emplyment by an employer.

Chill
