can you have H1 and EAD?

My husband H1 has expired and he will begin a new job on EAD. I am currently in the US in a B VISA. After he begins working with EAD, can his company file for a new H1 and my H4?

Sure, his company can file new h1 and h4 for you.

I think it's reverse flow. Could you please explain to me why you need h4 instead of filing I-485 for you ? it doesn't make any sense to me. if you have vaild b visa file I-485 direct based on your husband I-485.

my husband's lawyer said it would be better to get an H4 and then file I485 for me... they said could have problems filing I485 from a B VISA. Also I need to go home in december and I would not have received advance parole (my husband's AP took 2 and a half months!)
