I received second finger print notice with schedule date as 14th April 2004. However i would like to find out if any one tried to go for finger prints earlier than scheduled date to speed up the process.

Is it advisable to go earlier? or should i wait for the date that was given?

I had the monday's date but went to ASC on friday and the nice person at the first counter, said as they have less load today, and as it is only a day before (Friday / Monday), they will take my finger prints.

so I will say you can try going a few, my guess will be may be a week before, try it... will they take your prints or not.. I don't know ... but worth trying if you have some more important work on the day you got the appointment...

I don't see how your doing the FP couple of days early, will expedite the Approval process... because I have seen a lot of people who did FP two time ( I myself did the second FP in Dec, 03)....

Thanks for the info

I think based on my research and others experience. I guess i have decided to wait for my scheduled date.

My Attorney also suggested that i should go on 14th April, 2004 only. They said "why to confuse more already confused INS".

Also another person told that he went 2 months ahead of his date, which made his case delay almost 4 months...

well looks like it is better to go on the date INS asked me to go for 2nd Finger printing.

thanks for your help guys....

Good luck for every one !!!!

RE: The guy who you contacted and said he did 2 months in advance and got his case delayed by 4 months....
1. Did you find anyone else sharing similar info?
2.Generally you are given FP notice about4 to 6 weeks in advance of the scheduled date, so how did he end up doing 8 weeks in advance?
3.How did he find out that that was what caused the delay? Can you pass his contact info plz?
4.Did he do it without receiveing the notice on an anticiapted basis?
Whatever may be the case, I wanted to know advancing it about 2 to 4 weeks won't probably hurt? What is your opinion?
