Can you give your property on rent

Can someone who has the I-485 pending (for more than 6 months) and also owns a house/property rent the property or house to someone?

Will renting to someone cause any problem during the AOS interview; as this adds to the income beside the salary he/she is getting from the regular job?
This income from the rent will show in the Tax Returns.

Please advise if you know the answer for sure.

property renting is not an illegal activity. H1 can do that, but properly show the rental income in your tax returns.
