Hi Friends,
I am New Bee... for I-140 case studies.
I am curious about different terms you guys use.
can you expalin them.

FD = Filing Date
AD = Approving Date
PD = ?
RD = ?
LUD = ?

if there is any more short word used, then pls let me know that also.

thank you,

thank you nervewreck for your answer,
to educate me well can you correct me if I am wrong !

FD (Filing Date) = Date when I-140 application is been received at INS center
RD (Reciet Date) = Date when INS accepts the application & gives LIN/SRC no.
LUD (Last Updated Date) = Date when I-140 case status was last updated.
AD (Approval Date) = Date when I-140 case is Approved by INS.
PD (Priority Date) = ???

# Does it make difference is GC process is done with or without RIR, if yes then can you tell me what is the difference ?

# I have choosen consuler processing after I-140 [EB2 Category], so I will have to go for cousuler processing right after I-140 is approved ?

I really appreciate you help.
thank you for your time.

Whats your PD will answer your Q.

Hello,
As of now it does not make any difference if your GC is being processed with RIR or not.
Now the only way of getting labour approved is through PERM. So it does not matter.
However there is something called as Premium processing for both PERM and may be they introduced it for i140 also.

I believe you have passed both these 2 states.

Now to answer your last question, (as of date) Only if your PD is pre Jan 2003 date then You can go to consular directly.. Otherwise - Welcome to the CLUB. you got to wait till retrogression get clear upto your date. My PD is Aug 05. So I have atleast 3-4 years to go is what I am expecting. If you are after this Date, -- then Hold On where are you running????????????????

Cheers,
Naren.

PD(Priority Date) = The actual date when your Labor LC was filed.

Hi Friends,
Thank you for your kind answer.

I read that " AFTER YOUR I-140 IS APPROVED AND YOUR PD IS CURRENT THEN YOU CAN APPLY/GET PACKET 3......."

So, "PD IS CURRENT" means:
INS working on GC cases of date same as my PD (Date my Labor was applied to INS)

-------------am I right ?----------------

Is there any INS site or other site where I can see which PD date INS is working on right now ?

thanks again for your help.
