Can you change positions within a company on TN Status?

Hi there,

I was trying to find information on whether it is possible to change positions within my company while on the same TN visa, without having to apply for a new TN visa?

Basically I work for Company A as a Registered Nurse on an inpatient bedside unit. Can I change positions and work on a different inpatient bedside unit while with Company A?

also wondering if I can change positions from an inpatient bedside unit to a different type of unit, in this case an Operating Room? (still remaining at Company A)
 
Yes, this is not a change in duties that would deviate from being an RN. You were hired by your sponsor, and given a TN, as an RN That hasn't changed at all; even if your original TN specified a particular unit, this was unimportant in granting the TN.
 
As Nelsona mentioned, there is no change in duties as TN is tied to company and role. So no problem for you.

Now if you change role itself, you will need new TN.
