Can you change from CP to AOS later in the year?

When you have told KCC that you want to do CP, and then later in the year you change your mind to do AOS, is that possible?

Yes,it is possible and on this forum some folks have done that option.

YOu may invite trouble to switch from CP to AOS in the middle.
To do AOS, you have to be in the US, thus you need to have some visa or be on VWP. On VWP, you are not eligible to AOS. On some visa other than H1/L1, you are not allowed to have immigration intent. If you switch to AOS soon after you enter the US, you may face trouble.
