Can you apply for a job BEFORE getting your EAD?

can I still apply and get interviewed so by the time I get hired I'll have my EAD ... they won't ask for it during the interview , will they? I'll say yes I do

Depends upon the interviewer but you need to have your EAD before starting the employment and your social security for taxes etc.
