...the datetime a thread was started, in the Thread Starter column? Atleast the date on which the thread was created. This will help us distinguish old threads from new ones, if they happen to have same/similar starting messages.

Yes, but...

I have to go into the thread to know that. Just like you display the last post in each thread, in each forum, I think it will be a nice thing to have the date when a thread was created.

This will be useful in distinguishing similar looking threads or those with generic headings (for examples, threads just simply say "Aug RD approved today"). A user can know whether this is a new thread or a similar old one that resurfaced because someone brought it up bu posting a reply in that thread.
