Can wife apply for H4?

Hi All,
I do not have my H1 stamped in the passport and am very sceptical going to Pakistan. What if my fiancee comes here, we get married...can she get a readjust her status from a vistors to H4,,,or that is not a good idea? Also. could she go back to Pakistan and get it? Any information would be helpful....This change in laws has messed up my entire wedding plans...! Arrrr! Thanks.

Why don\'t you go to Canada or Mexico or send it to St. Louis for H1 stamping ...

Why don\'t you go to Canada or Mexico or send it to St. Louis for your H1 stamping ...then go to pakistan get married and get ur wife on H4 if you feel it will be difficult to get your H1B stamped there ..

Where in St. Louis?

Thanks for your input, but where in St. Louis do i send my passport to be stamped? My passport was never stamped with the H1. I got status re-adjustment from F1 to H1. So do I still qualify for it, or do I have to go to Canada/Mexico. That too if they let me come there..

I think sending to st louis they don\'t acept f1 to h1 only same type visas like h1 to h1

If you want to go to canada/mexico they will accept f1 to h1 but 50:50 chances so enquire more and please post because i am also in the same situation i want to apply h1 to h1 and for my wife h4 to h1
i took appointment in second week of feb in vancouver i will post what happened after i came back.

If any one has experiences please post with req docs.
 
My input on this

One thing for sure you cannot get ravalidated here because you old VISA stamp is not the same i.e not H1 , you have to go out of country and get it stamped. You can go Canada/Mexico or to your home country
 
That is what I wanted to do too..

Well I wanted to go to Canada too, but those guys over there cancelled my appointment. They did not say it in clear words, but they meant that sorry no PAKISTANIS accepted anymore. So I am kind of SOL...! Good luck to you! Let me know how it goes for you..
