Can we TRy Canada Immigration?

HI!

I totaly depressed with this Retrogetion as I have PD 07/2002 it will take long time 2-3 years to get this priority date as explained by my Lawyer. I have quick question as my H1-B is untill 08/06

1. Should we apply for Canada Immigration? as we have short time on H1 & safe side.

2. Will Canada process effects US Immigration Process??

3. If I use my Advance payroll to come back from Canada after Stamping will it abandon my I-485 in US???

4.Any lawyer for Cnada Immigration.

Please provide some information

Hi,

I got my Canadian PR. Yes you can apply to Canadian PR, no one in the US cares about it.

I have to tell you that I never used my Canadian PR and career opportunities there are very poor for the majority of people. At least was for me.

Trust on your Faith and Believes, more than ur attorney says,
PD will never static, will go forward soon with high speed. the PD they posted is least one cases pending. be patient and be hopeful.

That will always be wise to keep open that door.

No it Shouldn't be,

As long as u don't mention the purpose of visit to CNDA u are fine. once on border crossing by car a stupid person(same situation, going to land CN to get stamped and be back) told officer why he is going and they ask if u want CN-LPR then withdraw US-LPR, don't make any sutpid mistake. ppl do have dual LPR.

You don't need to, just go to CANADA immg official web page, download forms, estimate ur score u all fine. att will ask 5+Grand. unless u have extra.

Let's be clear. You can apply for US and Canadian permanent residency, but you cannot posess both. You either live in Canada, or the US.
 
Yes, there is nothing illegal about applying for PR status in the US in Canada at the same time. It is also perfectly legal to apply for US permanent resident status while holding a Canadian PR status. HOWEVER, you have to make up your mind and chose the US or Canada once you have your PR status in both. It is illegal to hold both at the same time. In the past people used to be able to get away with it, but now I think the US and Canada share information.
